Killington Mountain School is pleased to offer a bicycle racing program for its 7th-12th grade students. The KMS Cycling Team competes in the New England Prep School Race Series road events in the spring and prep school mountain bike races in the fall, along with Eastern Conference collegiate races offering high school categories. Training begins at the end of March to prepare for races through the spring and summer. All KMS racers are also be members of the Woodstock Bicycle Club and, as such, have access to continued coaching and support in USACycle-sanctioned events during the summer as part of the Vollers Law / Start House Racing Team. Any parents and students interested in this program should contact Head Coach Peter Vollers. With more than 30 years of cycling experience including international-level racing and a top-10 finish at Junior World Championships, Peter brings a wealth of cycling knowledge to the KMS Cycling Team. More recently, he was named the 2005 New England Criterium Champion and 2008 Vermont Cyclo-cross Masters Champion before co-founding the Woodstock Bicycle Club and the Vollers Law/Start House Racing Team in 2009.
