KMS announces 2012-13 BOOST opportunities

As the final BOOST session of 2011-12 approaches, dates for the 2012-13 BOOST sessions—including summer sessions both at Oregon’s Mt. Hood and at KMS—have been set. The BOOST lineup for 2012-13 includes:

Summer dryland camp Aug. 13 – 17, 2012 Alpine only
Thanksgiving camp Nov. 17 – 20, 2012 Alpine only
Holiday camp Dec. 17 – 21, 2012 Alpine only
BOOST Session 1 Jan. 7 – Jan. 18, 2013 Alpine only
BOOST Session 2 Jan. 21 – Feb. 1, 2013 Alpine, Freestyle, Freeskiing & Snowboard
BOOST Session 3 Feb. 4 – 15, 2013 Alpine, Freestyle, Freeskiing & Snowboard
BOOST Session 3 March 11 -15, 2013 Freestyle, Freeskiing & Snowboard

 

The BOOST program provides an opportunity for young student-athletes in any snowsports discipline to taste the ski academy lifestyle as they train with KMS coaches, study with KMS faculty, and enjoy KMS community events with student-athletes in our five- and nine-month programs.

Early season competitions approach as KMS teams wrap up prep season

As the competition season approaches, KMS student-athletes are in the last stages of their pre-season preparation. They have spent many hours building their fitness levels, allowing them to perform at high levels throughout the demanding competition season, and on-snow work throughout the prep season will wrap up with camps throughout the West Coast and Canada in the coming weeks. Those camps will provide the student-athletes with the best possible preparation for early season competitions, some of which can qualify athletes for upper-level competition throughout the season.
