• KMS Orientation
• Continuing communication between parents and KMS regarding transition process
• Parents are emailed forms for home school teachers and counselor

September and October

• Students attend their home schools
• Seniors should meet with their counselors to discuss college applications and choices. All college applications should be finished prior to arrival at KMS
• Juniors should begin discussions with counselors about college
• In September parents inform KMS of their student’s courses, teachers and counselor and teacher and counselor email addresses
• Parents meet with home school counselors and teachers to explain KMS and distribute forms to teachers
• KMS Director of Academics contacts home school teachers and counselors via email to explain KMS
• Parents collect and mail teacher forms, texts and course syllabi to KMS at least two weeks prior to student arrival at KMS
• Student’s academic schedule at KMS is finalized
• KMS teachers contact home school teachers

November through March

• Students transfer to KMS and continue with their academic work
• KMS teachers email weekly reports to parents, home school teachers and counselors
• Second quarter report cards are sent to schools and parents at end of January
• KMS Awards and Senior Recognition Ceremony
• Students return to home schools at the end of March/start of April

April

• Third quarter report cards are sent to home schools
• KMS official transcripts are sent to home schools
