Tao Smith, Headmaster, B.A. Religion/History, University of Vermont.  Tao is entering his seventh year as Headmaster.  He came to KMS from Gould Academy, where he taught religion, coached skiing, and was a dorm supervisor.  Tao's concern for students' success academically and athletically is unparalleled and exemplifies the mission of the Killington Mountain School.  Tao enjoys spending his free time playing with his two daughters, Hannah and Adeline.  In the summer, Tao enjoys the beach, cycling, and fishing. Jay Rodenberger, Assistant Head of School, B.S. Mathematics, Kutztown State University.  Eighteen years ago, Jay came to KMS to teach math from Pennsylvania where he was a teacher, athletic director, ski club advisor, football and baseball coach, and assistant principal at a large public high school.  Jay's role at KMS is o­ne of a kind.  He is a jack of all trades.  Jay designs individual daily schedules for students and faculty, teaches, and manages various aspects of KMS's daily operation.  Jay is an excellent cook, and we all enjoy his baking.  It is a little known fact that Jay is a former pipe organist.  Jrodenberger@killingtonmountainschool.org

 Elliot Kraut , Director of Academics, Ph.D. Education Administration, University of Connecticut, M.S. Education, University of Pennsylvania, B.S. Economics, University of Pennsylvania. Elliot came to KMS after 39 years at Staples High School in Westport, CT where he was a social studies teacher, department chair, and curriculum coordinator. Elliot taught history his first year at KMS and is beginning his second year as Director of Academics. He has implemented many changes that have enhanced communication with KMS and students’ home schools. Elizabeth Reaves, Director of Development, B.A. International Relations, American University. Elizabeth spent two years teaching french and history at KMS. Prior to KMS she spent a year working for the Vermont Secretary of State.  Elizabeth has also worked for the U.S. Judiciary Committee and Interned for Senator Patrick Leahy.  In addition, Elizabeth worked in Paris, France as a transcriber and translator for Citibank International.  While at American University, Elizabeth competed at the Division I level in Cross-country and Track. Elizabeth enjoys travel and outdoor recreation.  Ereaves@killingtonmountainschool.org

Susan Boston, Director of Admissions - Executive Assistant, B.A Liberal Arts, University of Vermont. Susan is in her second year working at KMS. For the last twelve years she worked as a Consultant and Office Manager for the Mills Consulting Group Inc. Prior to that she managed her own company, Boston Ink, which created marketing and promotional material for local companies and organizations. Susan is also a past KMS parent. Betsy Siebeck, Business Manager, B.A. French Literature, Skidmore College.  Betsy joined the Killington Mountain School administrative force nine years ago.  She is the master of finances, as well as the "mother" of many a KMS student. Betsy is a fanatical horse woman.  During the summer months she rides her horse Robbie and competes in Dressage competitions throughout Vermont. Bsiebeck@killingtonmountainschool.org

Lynnette Hedlund, Administrative Assistant, A.D. Science, Mt. Ida College.  Lynnette has dedicated the past seven  winters to managing the office at KMS.  Lynnette is a former Killington Ski Club board member and certified Alpine Official.  In the off season, Lynnette runs a Medical Supply business with her husband.  She also plays in a women's soccer league, and spends time o­n her boat with her three kids.  Lhedlund@killingtonmountainschool.org
