Kevin "K.C." Gandee, Snowboard Program Director
K.C. brings more than 10 years of coaching and teaching experience to the KMS snowboard program for the 2010-2011 season. A member of the American Association of Snowboard Instructors (AASI) National Snowboard Team from 2004-2008, K.C. still serves as an Examiner for the eastern division of AASI, certifying snowboard instructors and coaches from North Carolina to Maine. He is also a member of the division's Advanced Children's Educator (ACE) Team. He was also recently named as the Examiner Coach for the division beginning in the spring of 2011.

Before coming to KMS, Gandee trained snowboard instructors in movement analysis and freestyle coaching at Massanutten VA, Stratton, Killington, Northstar CA and most recently at Okemo, where he was the Recreation Manager for the resort. Gandee was the Head Coach for the Ross Powers Snowboard Camp 2004-2009. He also enjoys writing and is a frequent contributor to 32 Degrees magazine with articles and work published in Snow East, Paddling Life, Transworld Business served as a technical reviewer for the AASI. When not on snow, K.C. is either climbing ice, climbing rock, mountain biking or whitewater kayaking.

Evan Ricker, KMS and KSC/KMS Snowboard Coach
With 16 years snowboarding experience and a USASA Level 200 Coach certification, Evan Ricker completes the KMS Snowboard Coaching Staff. Ricker has experience as an athlete and judge in slopestyle and rail jam competitions as well as coaching experience in regional to national level events like the US Open and USASA National Championships. A natural at breaking down movements and contest strategies, Evan’s enthusiasm and true love for snowboarding is contagious. Prior to joining KMS Evan attended nearby Castleton State College and ran their Snowboard Club for three years. Evan holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Castleton State College. His interests include cinematography and photography.
