Amy Allen's first connection with Killington Mountain School was in her role as an English teacher from 2001-2004. After time off to raise two children, she is happy to be back in an administrative role at KMS.
Amy has taught at Castleton University, at her high school alma mater, Kent Place School in Summit, NJ, and also at the university level in the People's Republic of China. She also worked in Development and in Distance Learning Education for Liberty Science Center, in Jersey City, NJ, a non-profit, interactive science museum.
Amy hold's a Bachelor's Degree from Skidmore College (English Literature, focus Creative Writing) and a M.Phil (ABD in Ph.D. program) from Drew University (English Literature). She is thrilled to be back working with KMS in a job that couples her love of writing with her interest in academics and athletics. Amy is an avid runner, competing in many local races, and also enjoys skiing, cycling, soccer, and swimming. Amy lives in Rutland Town, VT with her two children and two dogs.
