David Mitiguy

Winter Term Humanities Teacher

BA St. Michael's College
M.Ed College of St. Joseph

Dave graduated from St. Michael's College in Colchester, VT with a Bachelor's of Arts in History. He also attended Castleton University while working toward his secondary education license. Dave then continued his studies at the College of St. Joseph in Rutland, VT, earning his Master's of Education with concentrations in administration as well as curriculum and instruction.

Dave has worked in nearly all aspects of education. From behavioral health, undergraduate residence life, adult education, and of course secondary classroom instruction. When it comes to learning, Dave may not have seen it all, but he's seen most of it. HIs favorite areas of historical study usually lean toward instances of occupation and resistance, post modern histories of the Western Hemisphere, and anything that has to do with countercultures.

While Dave is originally from the Rutland area, he is excited to have recently relocated back to Rutland Town after years away. When he's not in the classroom, you can find Dave in his woodshop, playing music with friends or at local venues, reading obnoxiously thick historical texts, cooking, or just relaxing with his wife and two pups.
