John Henry Paluszek grew up cross country skiing and racing in New Hampshire. He has a keen understanding of student-athlete life having attended and skied for Vermont Academy. He continued his ski racing career at Castleton University while earning his Bachelor of Arts in Ecological Studies. At Castleton, he raced within the United States Collegiate Ski & Snowboard Association. As a USCSA competitor, he was a Three-time Sprint National Champion as well as an Overall Title Winner. From there he moved to the University of Wyoming to pursue a Master’s of Science in Botany with an emphasis in Science Education, as part of that he completed a project looking at factors leading to student success and challenges.

In addition to his academic life, John Henry honed his team building and residential life skills with the NH Student Leadership Program at Brewster Academy. He has worked with international students through a partnership between the Univeristy of Wyoming and the Shanghai University of Sport.

John Henry is excited to be returning to Vermont and the boarding school world. In addition to Nordic skiing, he is an avid hiker, loves being outdoors.

At Killington Mountain School John Henry is the residential life coordinator and is part of the admissions & advancement team.
