Student of the Week – September 21, 2016

Congratulations to Rebecca Clark, who was named Student of the Week at Wednesday’s Community Lunch. Becca is a 12th grade alpine athlete who comes to KMS from Mendon, Vermont. Becca was nominated for this award by multiple faculty members, for her strong work ethic, high standards and outstanding achievement. Art teacher Eric Kuntz shared, “Becca takes Studio Art III with me, which is a top-level course. She is tackling a complex, European Style ski poster subject in our painting unit. She displays strong skill with color mixing and color arrangement, and her art skills have shown improvement from day one. Becca is always positive, with an upbeat attitude to and is a pleasure to have in class.” Math teacher Steve Tuckerman commented, “Becca is currently in a Calculus 2 course and is doing exceptionally well. She is doing so well that she is breezing through the course at a faster pace than expected.” World Language teacher Claudia Revenko-Bowen added, “I have Becca in our TED-ed elective. We have been working on discovering our passions in life, and it’s clear that Becca is compassionate, appreciative, and insightful. It is a pleasure to have her in this course, and I look forward to her final TED presentation.” Even those faculty members who do not teach Becca this year agreed with this nomination, lamenting that they don’t get to have her in class on a daily basis! Way to go, Becca!
