Empire State Games SkiCross

Mazie Hayden and McKenna Latt travelled to Lake Placid in New York State this week for the annual SkiCross event at the Empire state games. Competitors from the Northeast gather to compete at the event that was inspired by the 1984 Lake Placid Winter Olympic Games. Mazie earned the Women's win to defend her title, and McKenna skied strong in her first Empire games appearance. Both women are prepared and excited about the first US SkiCross event next week at Sunday River.

Stratton USASA SBX

Another strong showing at Stratton for the KMS Snowboard and SkiCross team. KMS athletes earned podiums in five divisions. Sunday saw KMS Skicross athlete Mazie Hayden join the crew as a part of the coach staff to help out her teammates.

Notable results included our SkiCross athletes McKenna Latt, Joanna Robinson-Leith, and Lindsey LaBaugh all winning their divisions and earning USASA Southern VT titles. Justin Giltz took his recent NorAm experience and used it to take the top Junior spot on Saturday and Sunday, while Liam Scott and Xavier Kennedy continued their podium streak in Breaker Boys. Logan Plourde, Ben Smith, and Henry Wilson also competed over the weekend riding hard and continuing to build experience.
