Elm City success!

Killington Mountain School Cycling athletes Turner Ramsay, Aliza Tobias, Leo Kirkpatrick-Baird, and Sebastian Logue took advantage of incredibly variable weather in order to get some pre-Nationals mud and snow racing experience over the weekend in New Haven, CT. With about three inches of snow still on the ground, temps in the high 40s/low 50s, and a little rain thrown in, there was a good mixture of snow and mud in where the cyclists competed in the Elm City Cross race. Riders not totally focused on lines and technique during the race quickly found themselves sliding in the snow and mud, with or without their bikes!

Leo led off the day in the Cat 3/4 race. He attacked mid race, and never looked back, capping off the regular season on the top step of the podium! Next, Turner and Aliza took their turn in the mud. Both looked great in their last regular-season races with Turner taking second n her field, and Aliza crossing the line fourth in her field!

Last of the day was Sebastian, who started last row in the Men's elite race. He rode hard, passing racer after racer, and fought his way into the top ten before crossing the line for the last time!

Great job by all who now start final preparations and training for CX Nationals in Hartford January

3rd-8th! Best of luck everyone!
