Snowboard and SkiCross podiums at Stratton

Killington Mountain School athletes had a heavy weekend of racing on Saturday and Sunday at Stratton Mountain. Stratton was the host for the first weekend of the USASA Southern Vermont Cross race series. KMS athletes notched strong results both days earning over a dozen podiums in Snowboard and Ski across the Open, Youth, and Junior divisions. KMS athletes rode well, and some had especially noteworthy results. Logan Plourde had a break out performance, earning his first SO VT podium in two seasons. Henry Wilson won the LCQ heat to earn him his first race in a semifinal, while Ben Smith and Xavier Kennedy both earned spots in their respective divisions final heats. Podium spots were earned by Liam Scott, Justin Giltz, McKenna Latt, Joanna Robinson-Leith, and Lindsay LaBaugh. In addition Matt Miller, McKenna Latt, Justin Giltz, Joanna Robinson-Leith, and Liam Scott all posted the fastest time trials in their divisions. KMS athletes continue to lead the charge in the Southern Vermont USASA Series. This coming weekend has our Slopestyle athletes competing in USASA events at Mt Snow while our older SnowboardCross athletes travel to Mt. Tremblant for Nor Am races.
