Podium after podium, mountain to mountain, KMS Alpine shines

The positive results just keep coming in for Killington Mountain School Alpine athletes, which students achieving best-ever results in a variety of competitions taking place in the United States and Canada. Coaches have sent along results and photos, which are being updated daily as more and more positive news keeps coming in. Way to go, everyone! 

 

Georgian Peaks FIS Ontario Cup GS 2/6/17:

Brad Underhill took the win, with Bo Underhill in seventh. On day two, Brad Underhill was fifth and Crawford Jones was sixth. Coach Jack Bailey said it was a good day for Tyler Clark, Bastian Blaafalk  and Jonas Baslund Pedersen as well. 

 

 

Copper Mountain NORAM Downhill 2/6/17:

Bobby Ryan scored NorAm points and found the podium, as the third U18 in the DH. 

 

Waterville FIS SL 2/4/17:

Ryan Znamierowski took third and Paul Ferri 16th. 

 

 

Cochran's VT Cup SL 2/4/17: 

Jenna Jenkins takes third with Lizzie Degraw in seventh and Mazie Hayden in 12th. 

 

 

MVC U14 GS Killington 2/4/17:

Ashley Spreng took second place, in the girls' race, with Bella Phalen in fifth, Isabella Clark-Alderman in seventh, Emilia Vergara eighth, Joanna Robinson-Leith 14th, and Hannah Black just outside the top 20 in 21st. 

 

In the boys' race Oscar Preisler was third, Dominic Shackleton seventh, Bode Tracy 11th, Liad Barash 12th, Chase Muller in 14th, and Liam Kelly 16th. 

 

MVC U14 GS Middlebury 2/5/17: 

Caroline Roy won the girls' race, with Ashley Spreng in fourth, Bella Phalen in eighth, Emilia Vergara in ninth, Isabella Clark-Alderman in tenth, Izzy Redrup in 17th, and Hannah Black rounding out the top 20 in 19th. 

 

Oscar Preisler won the boys' race, with Tucker Schultz in third, Dominic Shackleton in 16th, Chase Muller 17th, Gaven Schain 18th, Liam Kelly 19th, and Tommy Lowell 20th. 

 

Stowe State SG 2/5/17:
Ethan Maiden was eighth, Matt Fryer 21st, and Wyatt Hoffman 25th. In the second SG race, Tanner Graves finished eighth, Ethan Maiden was 15th, and Ryan Bianchi 28th. 

 

 

Jiminy Peak SL 2/5/17:

Tanner Schultz was the first U16 and Benjamin Vergara was the third U16 finisher. 

 

 

 

Queechee U12 Stubby SL 2/5/17: 

Shelby Graves won, and Megan Bianchi took third. In the boys' race Jaedon Beardsley won and Albert Preisler was tenth, and KMS won back the boot!

 

Sugarloaf Webber Cup SG races:

Becca Clark was 11th, Brad Underhill was 9th from start 54, PJ Bovaconti 10th from start 61- PJ’s first FIS top 10! And Crawford Jones was 14th. Bobby Ryan had a first and a second place finish in the two races, with Brad Underhill and Tyler Clark going 65 to 13 and 46 to 20 respectively.  Becca Clark also had a great race, finishing in the sixth place spot!

Jenna Jenkins found the podium, taking third!
