Black Bear Award September 27, 2017

September 27, 2017

Congratulations to Lizzie Degraw who was given the year's inaugural Black Bear Award at Wednesday's all-school meeting. She was nominated for this award by Dean of Academics, Amy Allen, due to her spirit of volunteerism and generosity. Lizzie gave up a big chunk of her Saturday and helped work set-up, registration, and bib hand out at a race in downtown Rutland, which was a fundraiser for Rutland Regional Medical Center. Lizzie was recovering from being sick, and with temperatures well into the upper 80's, it wasn't easy to be outside working. It's taking initiative like this to help others that really is reflective of the KMS spirit and is worthy of commendation. Way to go, Lizzie!
