Black Bear Award - Stevie Connolly

Congratulations to Stevie Connolly who was given the Black Bear Award at Wednesday's all-school meeting. Stevie is a ninth grade Alpine athlete who comes to KMS from Braintree, MA. He was nominated for this award by Science teacher Allison Resnick. Allison shared, " I am so thankful to Stevie. He spent multiple hours on Saturday helping me move into my new place with only the promise of Twizzlers in return! I’m sure there were plenty of other things he could have been doing on a Saturday, but he took his time to help me. It would have taken me more than twice the time to move if it weren’t for him." Upon hearing the nomination, History Department chair Courtney O'Keefe seconded the nomination, stating, "I would like to second Stevie for the Black Bear Award. A few weeks ago, Stevie stepped forward to help three of my Psychology students in a video they had to produce, based on a summer reading assignment I'd given. He played the part of the 'struggling KMS student who is in need of some advice' and he did a great job helping his buddies feel comfortable expressing their ideas about the secret of happiness. He may just have a future in drama! Overall, it was a greatly appreciated and generous gesture!" Way to go, Stevie!
