At KMS we strive to develop highly-competitive junior cyclists, while ensuring that every athlete receives an exceptional college preparatory education.
The KMS Cycling Team is for athletes with that extra level of commitment to cycling, academics, and, in fact, all areas of their lives. Most of our athletes aspire to be on the podium at national championship races, or even turn pro. Some of them achieve those goals. All of them graduate from KMS with the foundation to pursue cycling passionately at the collegiate level, and as a life-long sport.
The classroom experience at KMS is unique in that the school is able to structure rigorous studies and coursework in a way that allows student-athletes to maintain high-level training and racing schedules. The small class size and personal attention KMS students receive from teachers ensures that they are pushed to achieve their highest academic potential. Those enrolled at KMS flourish both in the classroom and out on the race courses because teachers and coaches work together to develop confident, well-rounded, top-level student-athletes.
On the bike, KMS provides coaching, mentoring, training and preparation for competitive cycling events across the USA in the disciplines of road, mountain bike and cyclocross. We strive to teach good sportsmanship and impart knowledge of race strategy, rules, and cycling safety. Our athletes gain a healthy perspective on cycling and learn the importance of hard work, structured training, good nutrition, equipment maintenance, and adequate rest.
Our team consists of cyclists of racing ages 13 through 18, and has experienced success at every level of junior racing this year, including two who made the U.S. Junior National Team. Our athletes and alumni have achieved the following accolades and results:
- Fourth, 2013 Cyclocross National Championships

In addition to these outstanding results, every one of our athletes is on a college track. Each is expected to work toward their full academic potential, and each is held responsible for course work whether traveling or racing closer to home.
For the KMS Cyclist, commitment, integrity, and hard work are a way of life.
