The mission of the KMS Math Department is to encourage our student-athletes to reach their mathematical potential as we strive to prepare them for success in life beyond KMS. Through engaging, rigorous, and individualized instruction, we aim to promote critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and mathematical literacy in each of our students. Our goal is to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that empowers students to confidently navigate mathematical challenges, pursue their academic goals, and thrive as lifelong learners in an ever-evolving world.

The vision of the KMS English Language Arts Department is to cultivate literacy, critical thinking, and a love of literature among our students. The Killington Mountain School science pathway offers a comprehensive and engaging curriculum designed to prepare students for college-level science courses and beyond. Social Studies
As the Social Studies Department at Killington Mountain School, we aim to create and implement a rigorous and diverse humanities curricula, which focuses on the ultimate goal of preparing our student-athletes for life beyond KMS. Our courses focus on the development and practice of 21st Century Social Studies skills, while providing positive learning environments which support the personal growth and development of the qualities and characteristics associated with the new KMS Mission Statement values: Respect, Integrity, Leadership, Excellent, and Responsibility. Overall, we as Social Studies educators in our community are dedicated towards aiding in the growth and development of young adults, who appreciate the value of a 21st Century Social Studies education and how it can grow the confidence and skills necessary for them to understand our growing globalized world, their place within it, and the ways in which their talents, ideas, and passions can positively impact it for the better.

Media Literacy
The vision of the KMS Media Literacy Department is to empower students with the critical thinking skills necessary to navigate and engage with the complex media landscape of the 21st century. We are dedicated to fostering an understanding of media's role in society, developing students' ability to analyze and evaluate information, and encouraging responsible and ethical media consumption and creation. Our goal is to cultivate informed, discerning, and proactive citizens who can critically interpret media messages and contribute thoughtfully to the digital world.
