SUMMER CYCLING at Killington Mountain School

Downhill Mountain Bike Summer Racing Team

The Gravity Mountain Bike Summer Racing Team offers an opportunity for competitive riders not yet enrolled in the KMS Full Term Program to join the KMS Gravity Program during the essential summer training and racing period. The Summer Session is available to riders entering 6th-9th grade looking for a comprehensive training and racing program that will take their riding to the next level as they set their sights on the Eastern States Cup Series. Athletes will experience what it is like to be supported by a strength and conditioning program, sport psychology work and of course, world-class technical and tactical coaching on Killington Resort's expansive terrain and surrounding trail networks.

Summer Session training will include 5-7 days of weekly programming including race support, sport psychology work, strength and conditioning, active recovery, and planned rest. Participants will be assessed for skills and goals and placed in training groups most appropriate for them. Training groups may change throughout the program and coaches may float to best suit the needs of the athletes. Detailed schedules will be provided on a weekly basis.

Participants will have the option to travel with the team to weekend ESC races upon request and will be provided with coaching and race support.
