Ian graduated from the University of Vermont with a bachelor’s degree in Education with a concentration in History. During his time at the university Ian acted as a volunteer tutor at the Kingstreet Youth Center and Edmunds Middle School, both located in Burlington. Due to his enthusiasm for teaching, Ian was invited to be part of the Kappa Delta Pi Honor Society.

In his free time, Ian enjoys being active outdoors. He is an avid snowboarder and also loves hiking, surfing, and playing pick-up soccer games or shooting the puck around. Ian's indoor hobbies include playing guitar, cheering on the New York Rangers, and watching football on Sundays.
