What a fantastic year we had in 2011-12!

The results of our athletes were phenomenal from the U14s right through our U18/21 athletes. At the U14 level, Killington athletes had podium results at States, Easterns, Future Stars and Can Ams. Our U16 athletes continued their domination of the Mid-Vermont council and sent seven athletes to U16 Eastern Championships with three qualifying from there to the national U16 camp in Park City. Our U18/21 athletes also enjoyed great success with four athletes being selected for the Junior 2 national championships and bringing home some top-10 results there. We ended up with five athletes ranked in the top 10 nationally in their age group, and we are poised for another fantastic season.

In addition to three strength and conditioning camps here at KMS, this past summer and fall we had outstanding preparation with on-snow camps in Mt. Hood, Ore., La Parva, Chile, and Saas Fee, Switzerland.

I am really excited to see the athletes bring their best to the coming season!

KMS Alpine Team student-athletes span the U14 through U21 ages and compete in races from Mid-Vermont Council age-group contests to elite-level FIS races. The KMS alpine team is centered around the athlete, fostering individual progress in a supportive team environment. We train and compete year-round with a full summer preparatory period consisting of on-snow and conditioning camps, which bring our athletes into the season as well-prepared and in the best physical shape possible.

We strive to help each student-athlete achieve his or her full potential in athletics and academics, allowing all to take with them the tools for success in the fields they choose. Our staff brings many years of experience, with many of them having World Cup and national-team experience.
