Student of the Week - December 14, 2016

Congratulations to Aliza Tobias, who was named Student of the Week at Wednesday's all-school meeting. Aliza is a 10th grade Cycling athlete who comes to KMS from Blandon, PA. ME: I would like to nominate Aliza Tobias for Student of the Week. Aliza was nominated for this award by several teachers. History Department chair Courtney O'Keefe shared her nomination, "Aliza is a great student in my Western Humanities class. She is engaged, thoughtful, and reflective. She works hard on all her assignments, stays on top and ahead of our work load (even when traveling), and produces great quality work. More than once she has made me stop and think about the history we are studying due to her great questions and shared thoughts." Science Department Chair Terri Isidro seconded the nomination, commenting, "Aliza comes to class prepared every time, is very responsible about keeping up with assignments when traveling, puts her full effort into her assignments, and is a very mature and positive presence in our Biology class!" Art teacher Eric Kuntz agreed, "I nominate Aliza Tobias--hands down. She is a pleasure to have in class. She always goes that extra mile to do her photography assignments, has a very talented eye, and does very wonderful work, turning it all in on time. She also has a lot of fun in class and always has a smile on her face!" Language Department Chair Claudia Revenko-Bowen added, "I would also like to nominate Aliza! She always comes to class prepared and with a smile. When she is away, her work is always done ahead of time, and if she has any problems, she communicates with me in a timely manner. It is great to see Aliza taking risks with the language, communicating in Spanish and having fun along the way!" Congratulations, Aliza!
