Student of the Week - January 11, 2017

Congratulations to Anja Kroon, who was named Student of the Week at this week's all-school meeting. Anja is a 10th grade U16 Alpine athlete who comes to KMS from Green Brook, NJ. She was nominated for this award by multiple faculty members. Art teacher Eric Kuntz commented, "I don't currently have Anja as a student, but the other day I saw her helping out a group of students in the conference room with some homework during her free period, even though she had mid-terms coming up herself and was studying for those." History teacher Amelia DuPont shared, "For the past few weeks Anja has been working on taking her mid-terms, which included a lot of preparation and studying. She has gone above and beyond preparing for the test, even meeting with me outside of class to review. She is a highly motivated student, who strives to raise the bar in her academic studies. In addition to being a pleasure to have in class, she always inquires to learn new information and see how the past connects to the future." English teacher Debbie Franks added, "The long and short of it is that Anja is one of the hardest working students I've ever known, persisting through every challenge" and math teacher Ted Schaft commented, "Anja is outstanding. She is relentless in her pursuit of content, as serious and committed a student as I have ever seen." Congratulations on your focus and determination, Anja! Way to go!
