Dave Willis

Assistant Head of School / Chief Operating Officer

802.422.5671, ext. 214
dwillis@killingtonmountainschool.org

From an early age, Dave recognized the value of a academically and athletically rigorous secondary school education by virtue of his attendance at Deerfield Academy, where he played football and hockey and served as captain of the varsity lacrosse team and left armed with an education that prepared him for both college and his professional career.

After his graduation from Hobart-William Smith, Dave launched his business career as an Advertising executive in New York City, followed by positions within the ski industry (American Skiing Company and Sunday River Resort). He also served as SP Vice President of Marketing and Sales at Bullhorn Inc., the VP of Business Development at myteam.com, and President of Kiosko, Inc.

Dave’s dual role at KMS as both Assistant Head of School and COO is a welcome one in that it allows him to utilize his experience from the business world while actively engaging in student support and participating in the continual evolution of the school community.

When not at KMS, Dave can be found either at the rink-- where he coaches Woodstock Youth Hockey, on the turf-- where he coaches lacrosse for the 3D New England program, the Woodstock Middle School, and KMS’s own Black Bears, serving as a volunteer firefighter, or at home in Woodstock with his wife, three children, and lovable dog.
