Black Bear Award - Spencer Belsky
Congratulations to Spencer Belsky, who was given the Black Bear Award at this week's all-school meeting. Spencer is a 12th grade Freestyle athlete who comes to KMS from Mahopac, NY. Spencer was nominated for this award by English teacher Debbie Franks who said, "I observed Spencer being a wonderfully welcoming and responsible host and guide to the newly arriving students on move-in day. It seems like he is really stepping up in all sorts of ways this year." The nomination was seconded by Freestyle Program Director Kris Pepe who shared, "Spencer is doing well getting his newly arriving winter-term teammates on track with what the team is doing. He is also making an effort to ensure students who are new to the KMS feel welcome and are kept informed." Coaches Gar Trayner and Jeff Juneau also supported the nomination, stating that Spencer was "awesome" during orientation day and incredibly helpful. Way to go, Spencer!
