The KMS downhill mountain bike team took on the FOX US Open at Killington from September 26–28, with peak fall foliage and crisp autumn skies setting the perfect stage for an unforgettable weekend of racing.

The event kicked off on Friday with practice runs, seeding, and the start of the slalom racing. Unfortunately, the soft terrain—still recovering from heavy rain earlier in the week—caused the races to be cut short. Despite the change, spirits stayed high, and athletes turned their focus toward the rest of the weekend.

Saturday brought more practice, seeding, and the highly anticipated A Finals. After a day of strong racing, KMS hosted an ice cream social for athletes and families before the crowd gathered for the electrifying Best Whip competition. KMS riders Ty D. and Austin T. both took center stage, thrilling spectators with style and skill in front of one of the weekend’s largest audiences. For many, Saturday’s energy and atmosphere marked the highlight of the event.

On Sunday, racing wrapped up with the A, B, and C Finals. KMS athletes showed grit and resilience against some of the best mountain bikers in the country, walking away with impressive results:
