Student of the Week - March 24, 2017
Congratulations to Bode Tracy, who was named Student of the Week at Wednesday's all-school meeting. Bode is a 7th grade Alpine athlete who comes to KMS from Newburyport, MA. He was nominated for this award by several faculty members, including Art teacher Eric Kuntz. Eric shared, "Bode just completed a three-plus week project on wire sculpture that turned into an A+ assignment. He has strong hands-on building skills, is always on time, and works very hard. He is not the typical art student enthusiast, but he does the work, and tries everything!" Spanish teacher Alexis Vander Els agreed, "I'll second Bode's nomination. He shows up on time, has a good attitude, is not super excited about Spanish, but is willing to do what is asked. He is reliable and pleasant, and he always has a smile." History teacher Amelia DuPont commented as well, "I would also like to nominate Bode. He has done a great job over the past few weeks keeping up with his class and turning in quality work. He also been handling a tough topic, the Holocaust, very maturely and with respect. He is a pleasure to have in class." BOOST coordinator Hanne Bailey also noted that Bode was "the only kid at the dance who wanted to leave to do his homework!" Impressive stuff! Congratulations, Bode!
