Perlmutter and Andrews Excel at X Games Qualifier at Copper Mountain, Andrews Heads to Aspen

Copper Mountain, CO – December 21, 2024 – The action at Copper Mountain is heating up as Jess Perlmutter and Ella Andrews delivered standout performances at the X Games qualifier, earning coveted spots in the highly anticipated finals. Both athletes had the opportunity to secure their place in the prestigious X Games in Aspen, with both poised to make their mark on the big stage.

Jess Perlmutter, a 9th grader at Killington Mountain School, won the Street Style Pro Rail Jam qualifiers. The young snowboarder impressed the judges with her combination of technical tricks and bold creativity. Perlmutter’s flawless execution and innovative approach on the rails earned her the top spot, positioning her as a strong contender in the finals.

Ella Andrews, also a student at Killington Mountain School and in her first season with the US Freeski Team, secured a second-place finish in the qualifiers. The freeskier showcased her fluid style and exceptional skill on challenging terrain. Andrews’ consistency and powerful performances throughout the event earned her a well-deserved spot in the finals.

Both Perlmutter and Andrews put in a huge effort in the finals with Andrews again placing second behind freeski legend Eileen Gu and punching her ticket to the X Games in Aspen. Perlmutter landed some outstanding tricks and runs with a few bubbles costing her in the judging and saving her debut at the X Games for another time. Undoubtedly, we will see Perlmutter’s talent at the big show very soon.
